The Quincy Gems and Hannibal Cavemen baseball teams play a split double header today, the first game begins at 1:00 in Quincy; then the teams travel to Clemens Field in Hannibal for a 7 o’clock matchup.  You’ll hear the first game on khmoradio.com with the pregame starting at 12:45 today,  just click on LISTEN at the top of the home page.

In Friday Prospect League action, Hannibal Cavemen on the road beat Springfield in 11 innings, 3 to 2.    Quincy Gems defeat Terra Haute 10 to 6.

CINCINNATI (AP) - The St. Louis Cardinals have put a little more daylight between themselves and the defending NL Central Champion the Cincinnati Reds. Adam Wainwright won for the ninth time and every members of the Cardinals' starting lineup had a hit. Pete Kozma had three RBIs in the 9-2 win.

Cards and the Reds are on KHMO Saturday afternoon, pregame at 5:20, first pitch at 6:15 from Cincinnati.

CHICAGO (AP) - Francisco Liriano had his worst control of the season, but he still turned in one of his best outings for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He gave up just two hits in seven innings of Pittsburgh's 2-0 win over the Chicago Cubs. Liriano's five walks were the most he has given up since last September.
