A Knox County man has been found not guilty in the death of another man in December of 2012.

The jury deliberated just a short time before acquitting Glenn Head in the death of 67 year old Bill Bacon.

The murder occurred as the result of an ongoing dispute between the two as to whether a Knox County road was open or closed. Prosecutors say the shooting of Bacon was second degree murder. The defense said Head shot Bacon in self defense.

The trial took place in Randolph County on a change of venue.
