Downtown Hannibal celebrates the beginning of the summer season with its annual Twain on Main Festival.

The historic district will be filled with vendors, entertainment and a host of activities Saturday and Sunday.

Twain on Main will kick off Saturday at 10 a.m. with the 399th Army Band at Main and Broadway. The band will lead a parade north to the Tom and Huck statue, where they will play the National Anthem.

Another of the features of Twain on Main is three areas with activities celebrating Mark Twain books The Prince and The Pauper, Roughing It and the Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
