A Hannibal resident has been arrested for, among other charges, possession of a controlled substance believed to be heroin.

Brianna O’Brien, 30, of Hannibal was taken under arrest after police executed a search warrant at the 3900 block of Evans Street. Officers discovered a substance believed to be heroin as well as drug paraphernalia.

Kyle Johnson, 30, also of Hannibal gave a false name to officers and was also arrested. He was released on a summons to appear in municipal court.

Arrested under charges of possession, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and municipal warrants, O’Brien posted bond and was also released.

The Hannibal Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the Monroe City Police Department K9 Unit.
