(HANNIBAL)—Hannibal’s American Legion Hall was the scene for September 11th remembrance ceremonies, Tuesday.

Marion County Juge Rachel Bringer Sheperd thanked emergency respondes and the military.

We're so thankful for all the current active duty memebers of the armed forces who are on call for us in all parts of the world protecting our nation and our freedom.

Hannibal Mayor Roy Hark addressed the strong national unity and patriotism felt by Americans, immediately following the attack.

From the tragedy of September the 11th emerged a strong nation, renewed by a spirit of national pride, and true love of country.

The terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington D.C. occurred 11 years ago today. This is the first time since 2001 that the anniversary has fallen on a Tuesday.
