Hannibal Regional Hospital has recently been recognized by the Healthgrades organization as a 2013 Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ recipient – ranking HRH among the top 10% in the nation for providing outstanding performance in the delivery of patient care. Healthgrades is a leading national healthcare ratings organization and online resource that helps consumers search, evaluate, compare and connect with physicians and hospitals. Healthgrades evaluates patient experience in U. S hospitals using HCAHPS patient survey data released by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. To be eligible for the Healthgrades 2013 Outstanding Patient Experience Award, Hannibal Regional Hospital must have met rigorous quality standards and have data for a threshold number of HCAHPS surveys.

Lynn Olson, President and CEO of Hannibal Regional Hospital, noted that “As hospitals continue to strive to deliver high-quality, safe care in the face of mounting financial and regulatory pressures, those who have achieved Healthgrades 2013 Outstanding Patient Experience Award stand above the rest in terms of providing the most positive experience for patients during their hospital stay”.

In addition to the Outstanding Patient Experience Award, Hannibal Regional Hospital has also earned several orthopedic services-related accolades from Healthgrades including being one of “America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Orthopedic Surgery” in 2012 and being ranked as one of the top 10 hospitals in Missouri for overall orthopedic services for both 2012 and 2013.
