The Hannibal Regional Foundation's eighth annual Shoeless Joe's Celebrity Golf Classic held in June 14 raised nearly $80,000 to benefit the Cherish Campaign, which is raising funds to expand women’s health services at Hannibal Regional.

The Celebrity Golf Classic, which enjoyed a record-high fundraising year, was officially sponsored by Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network and provided participants the opportunity to play with a member of the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame and/or other sports celebrities at Norwoods Golf Club in Hannibal. To date, the Golf Classic has raised over $500,000 to support local healthcare through the Hannibal Regional Foundation.

Among the celebrities to attend were former MU and St. Louis Cardinals football players Johnny Roland and Mel Gray; former MU and Oakland Raider player Gus Otto; and former MU football player Chase Coffman. Other sports celebrities included former St. Louis Cardinal Football players Eddie Moss, Tim Kearney, Tim Van Galder, Jerry Holloway and Eric Williams.

The annual Shoeless Joe’s events continue to offer great community engagement while including donors, volunteers, celebrities and Hannibal Regional team members.
