There was good news all around as the Hannibal and Quincy Salvation Armies announced the results of their Christmas fundraising campaigns Tuesday.

In Hannibal, the Tree of Lights Campaign raised $103,412 to support local programs, topping its goal of $100,000.

In Quincy, they beat their goal by more than seven thousand dollars, raising $407,276.

Money raised during the campaigns helps provide Christmas assistance and supports year round programs in northeast Missouri and western Illinois.

In the Hannibal service area, 600 families received Christmas food baskets and over a thousand children benefited from the Toy Town program.

In the Quincy area, 700 Christmas food boxes were distributed, over 700 kids got toys from Toy Town, and nearly 900 meals were served on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
