Hannibal Police Car Damaged
(HANNIBAL)—Hannibal Police say a woman damaged a patrol car parked in the police department parking lot because she was homeless and believed causing the damage would provide her with a place to spend the night.
Police say the trunk lid was scraped and dented and the rear window was shattered. A short time later, 25 year old Victoria Norell of Hannibal walked into the police department lobby and confessed to damaging the vehicle Saturday morning.
Surveillance video confirmed her as the suspect. Norell was arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold in the Marion County Jail.
