The Hannibal Parks and Recreation Department recently recognized the best performers in it's shooter's education course.

Over 30 children ages 8-16 took part in Parks & Rec's firearm safety awareness program.

Among those recognized at the recent Shooter's Education banquet were:

First Place Team: Shelby Patterson, Isaac Day, Evan Flaspohler

Second Place Team: John Fowler, Landon Saxbury, Brad Tutor

Third Place Team: Heath Ehret, David Tudor

Individual winners included:

Most Improved: 8-10, Aleah Bush; 11-13, Destiny Combs; 14-16, Jayden Ash

Sportsman: 8-10, Andrew Dillman; 11-13, Ashton Alvey; 14-16, Jayden Ash

Top Gun: 8-10, Sheldon Bergheger; 11-13, Destiny Combs; 14-16, John Fowler

The program was coordinated by Mark and Tammie McKinney and the Missouri Department of Conservation. Those donating to the program included County Market, the Kiwanis Club and Hometown Signs.
