An important fund raiser to support the Hannibal Nutrition Center's home delivered meals program is just around the corner.

The center's annual dinner and auction happens Saturday, February 21 at the Hannibal Quality Inn and Suites. Social hour starts at 6 p.m., with dinner at 7 and a live auction at 8, featuring auctioneer Dale DeLaporte.

There will also be a silent auction, and a blind auction. That's when you write down your best bid and put it in a box, and when the box is opened, the highest bid in the box gets the item.

Tickets for the dinner are $50 each, or you can reserve a table for eight for $400. To make your reservation, call the nutrition center at 573-221-4488.

The proceeds from the event go to support the center's home delivered meals program. The center prepares and delivers over 300 meals per day to homebound individuals in and around Hannibal.
