It was a cool and damp March in Hannibal.

According to the National Weather Service’s official reporting station at the Hannibal Filter Plant, a total of 3.85 inches of precipitation fell in March, about six-tenths of an inch more than average.

Most of that rain came at the end of the month, when there was measurable rain reported at the Filter Plant for seven days in a row, from the 22nd through the 28th. The wettest day of the month was the 26th, when 1.42 inches of rain fell.

It was a cool March, as well, with the warmest day coming at the end of the month when the high reached 64 on the 31st. The coldest day of the month came on the 8th, when the low dropped to 21.
