A traffic stop Monday afternoon results in the arrest of a Hannibal man on a number of charges.

Hannibal Police report they attempted to pull over 40 year old Chad Waters for having a revoked driver’s license.

Initially, Waters failed to stop, but was taken into custody after a short pursuit.

Following Waters’ arrest, officers observed drug paraphernalia and several grams of what were believed to be methamphetamine and marijuana inside the vehicle.

Waters was charged with driving while revoked, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Waters was taken to the Marion County Jail on a 24 hour hold.
