Hannibal Police responded to the Hannibal Inn Thursday morning after a 911 call from a female, who told authorities she was being held against her will.

Officers arrived and made contact with 24 year old Richard Reed of Hannibal, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

According to a press release, Reed would not allow the officers into the room to talk with the two females in the room, nor let them step out of the room.

Reed tried to shut the door on the officers as they forced their way into the room.

Reed was arrested for felonious restraint, interfering with an investigation and two counts of resisting arrest.

The two females, ages 22 and 23, were unhurt.

Reed is in the Marion County Jail on a 24 hour hold.
