Hannibal Man Arrested for Interfering and Resisting Arrest

A Hannibal man has been taken to the Marion County Jail after attempting to attack an officer during an arrest.

Shortly after 1:00 pm on August 16, Terry L. Johnson, 32, was stopped by the Hannibal Police Department Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad in the 600 block of S Hayden for a minor traffic violation. Johnson was taken into custody due to active warrants.

During the arrest, Johnson resisted and attempted to attack an officer before being subdued and taken under arrest. One officer sustained minor injuries but did not require medical attention. Johnson was arrested for Interfering and Resisting Arrest in addition to his active warrants.
