Arrest warrants have been filed against a Hannibal man in connection with a domestic assault incident over the weekend.

Hannibal Police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of Union Street about 4 a.m. Sunday. A 25-year-old Hannibal woman told officers she had been assaulted by 35-year-old Jason Coulter, who came to her residence and tried to take her car. The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries during the altercation.

Officers located Coulter walking in the 2200 block of Market about 1:40 p.m. Monday.

Warrants were issued in Marion County Circuit Court Tuesday, charging Coulter with two counts of second degree domestic assault. Coulter is in the Marion County Jail on $50,000 cash only bond.
