A Hannibal man faces several charges after police say he drove into a block party Saturday morning.

Hannibal Police say 37 year old Jeremaine Johnson drove into a blocked off area in the 1800 block of Hope and nearly hit several people. An officer on scene stopped the vehicle and Johnson was arrested. Officers say a search of Johnson turned up a loaded hand gun and a baggie containing prescription pills. Police say Johnson attempted to resist but he was subdued and taken to the Hannibal Police Department. Johnson is charged with unlawful use of a weapon, delivery of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated, driving while revoke, failure to register a vehicle, no proof of insurance, running barricades, a misdemeanor warrant and a parole violation warrant. Johnson is held in the Marion County Jail.
