Hannibal Police say they arrested 23-year-old Devontae D. Ecford on Monday, September 14. Ecford is accused of selling heroin.

According to a news release from HPD, Ecford was arrested as a result of an investigation by the Hannibal Police Department's Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad. A warrant issued by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court charges him with Distribution of a Controlled Substance.

Devontae Ecford was taken to the Marion County Jail. His bond was set at $100,000, cash only.

On Monday September 14th, 23 year old Devontae D Ecford, of Hannibal, was arrested on a warrant issued by the 10th Judicial Circuit Court, charging him with Distribution of a Controlled Substance. The warrant is a result of an investigation conducted by the Hannibal Police Departments Anti- Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) into Ecford selling Heroin. Ecford’s bond was set at $100,000.00 cash only. He remains in the Marion County Jail.

A criminal charge is merely an allegation and the defendant is, of course, presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
