The Hannibal Hoots extend their winning streak to four with a 3-0 win over the Springfield Sliders at Clemens Field Saturday night.

Hannibal scored a single run in the second on a walk and a stolen base by left fielder Connor Pasko and an RBI single by center fielder Tye Thixton.

The Hoots added a run in the third when right fielder Patrick Donohue and first baseman Dylan Dodd singled and Donohue was driven in by a sacrifice fly off the bat of third baseman Joe Roscetti.

Hannibal rounded out the scoring in the eighth when Thixton scored on an infield hit by shortstop Jose Mercado.

Meanwhile, Hoots pitchers Dalton Overstreet, Brendan Saak, Graham Kuck and Tyler Lunger combined for a two-hit shutout, striking out eleven Springfield batters.

The Hoots are now 8-17, while the Sliders fall to 15-15.

Hannibal has a double header at Danville Sunday. They return home to face the West Division leading Terre Haute Rex at 6:35 p.m. Monday.
