It was another rough night for the Hannibal Hoots Wednesday, losing to the Danville Dans 13-1 at Clemens Field.

Danville touched Hannibal starting pitcher Victor Gotay for three singles, a double and a ground out, scoring three runs in the first inning.

The Dans added a single run in the fourth and two more in the fifth, then blew the game open with four in the sixth and three more in the eighth.

Meanwhile, the Hoots managed only three hits, scoring their only run in the fourth on a one-out walk to DH Chris Iazzetta and a two-out double by catcher Brady West.

Hannibal's record moves to 18-26, while Danville improves to 26-19.

The Dans are back at Clemens Field at 6:35 p.m. Thursday.
