The Hannibal Hoots traveled to Terre Haute Tuesday to take on the Western Division-leading Rex and came away with an 8-2 win.

Terre Haute scored a run in the first, but Hannibal erupted for six in the third. The first run scored on an RBI single by shortstop Duante DeCello. The second run scored when third baseman Joe Roscetti reached on an error. Another run scored on a ground out by left fielder Connor Pasko and catcher Brady West rounded out the scoring with a bases loaded double.

The Hoots scored twice more in the eighth on an error, a walk, and West driving in two more with another double.

Dalton Overstreet was the starting and winning pitcher for Hannibal.

The win improves the Hoots' record to 18-25.

Hannibal is home Wednesday and Thursday as the Danville Dans come to Clemens Field at 6:35 p.m.
