Hannibal CVB Director Gets National Tourism Award

The head of the Hannibal Convention and Visitors Bureau is the recipient of a national award from a tourism research organization.

The Travel and Tourism Research Association announced Wednesday that Hannibal CVB Director Gail Bryant was awarded the J. Desmond Slattery Professional Marketing Award at its national conference in Nevada.

The award is presented to the travel marketing professional that has made a significant contribution to travel and tourism marketing.

Since Bryant became tourism director in 2011, tourism spending in the Hannibal area has increased and visits to the CVB website have increased substantially.
