Hannibal City Council Summary

(HANNIBAL)--Hannibal Mayor Roy Hark’s fourth term is underway. He was sworn into office before last night’s regular city council session. Also taking the oath of office were council members  Michael Dobson from the second ward…Barry Louderman of the fourth ward and Jamie Locke in the sixth ward.

During the meeting council members approved the first reading of a proposal to let voters decide whether the Board of Public Works should borrow money for water and sewer improvements. The B-P-W wants to borrow $20 million for improvements.  General Manager Bob Stevenson says it's necessary to comply with federal regulations.
