(HANNIBAL)—Hannibal City Council members approve over 45-hundred dollars for a survey of the landfill. City Engineer Mark Rees says this is related to new requirements by the Department of Natural Resources regarding irrigation and natural drainage from the landfill. The survey will also clear up questions about where the exact boundaries of the landfill are. The council also approved a 15-hundred dollar plan to repair expansion joints on the New London Gravel Road Bridge and a service agreement with the Hannibal Nutrition Center for senior meals and other services.
