The Hannibal Cavemen explode for nine runs in the fourth and fifth innings Friday night to knock off the Terre Haute Rex 9-4.

The Rex scored a run in each of the first two innings off Cavemen starting pitcher Jalen Miller.

The Cavemen bats came alive in the fourth. First baseman Brandon Bentson singled with one out, center fielder Gary Russo walked, then DH Matt Burgess drove in a run with a single. A walk to shortstop Brett Marr loaded the bases for center fielder Christian Cavaness:

The Cavemen plated five more in the fifth, with RBI from Russo, Marr and catcher Jimmy Frankos:
