Long time Hannibal businessman and transportation advocate Tom Boland died Friday at the age of 88.
Boland bought the Ford dealership in Hannibal in July of 1968. He started working on area transportation issues in 1980 and was one of the driving forces behind improvements on US-36/I-72 and other highways in northeast Missouri and western Illinois.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Tom Boland will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Hannibal.  A Life Celebration visitation  is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.
