The Hannibal Board of Public Works approves hikes in electric, water and sewer rates, effective July 1.

The restructuring of rates for residential and commercial customers, along with a raise in rates was approved by the board at its regular meeting Tuesday.

BPW officials say the bottom line is that the average electric, water and sewer customer will see as much as a $3.25 increase in their bill next month.
