A two-month submission and judging process ends Thursday with the selection of a logo for Hannibal’s upcoming bicentennial celebration.

According to Michael Gaines of the Hannibal Arts Council, twenty logo designs were submitted, with entries coming from the local area, along with the St. Louis area, Washington state and Ontario, Canada.

After two levels of judging by 13 different judges, the logo designed by Hannibal resident Brandon Dopp was selected as the image to celebrate Hannibal’s 200th birthday in 2019.

The Hannibal Bicentennial Committee will use the logo for marketing, social media and advertising through the run of the bicentennial activities.

Dopp gets a $200 cash prize from the Arts Council for submitting the winning logo.
