(Hannibal, Mo)—Two Hannibal residents are rushed to the hospital after their ATV overturns just before 8 p.m. Saturday.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says the accident happened two miles north of Hannibal on private property when a Polaris ATV operated by 32 year-old Jeffrey Kinder overturned as he was attempting to climb a hill.

Kinder sustained moderate injuries when he was partially ejected from the ATV.  A passenger, 25 year-old Scarlet Ellis was thrown from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries.  Both were taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
