Halloween Sex Offender Check Planned in Marion County

Marion County Sheriff’s deputies plan a sex offender compliance check on Halloween.

Sheriff Jimmy Shinn says it is a Class A misdemeanor for any sex offender to be involved with Halloween activities. Shinn says multiple teams from his sheriff’s office will be patrolling residences of convicted sex offenders to be sure of a safe atmosphere for Halloween activities.
