Guilty Verdict for Pettey in Murder Trial

(MEXICO)—41 year old Calvin Duane Pettey of Hannibal is guilty of murder in the death of Sandra Fugate. That’s the finding of an Audrain County jury following three hours of deliberation Wednesday. Fugate was found dead of gunshot wounds to her head in her basement on April 15 of 2010. Testimony included statements from Rebecca Kirk that she had an affair with Pettey and that Pettey confessed to her that he had killed Fugate and asked her to help dispose of evidence.
