Grain Elevator Grand Opening in Canton Today

(CANTON)---A grand opening is set for 11:30 this (Friday) morning for Ursa Farmers Cooperative’s new grain elevator at Canton.

Work on the project has been underway for two years. A 1.99 million dollar state grant covered costs of buying several blighted properties and clean the site. Three grain bins a conveyor and an office are now on the site. The total cost of the project was around 11 million dollars.
