JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon is wrapping up his work week in northeast Missouri.

Nixon has three public appearances today in the area, starting in Canton at 11 a.m. for the ribbon-cutting of a $6 million grain elevator for Ursa Farmers Cooperative. The state provided a block grant to help acquire and clear riverfront property for the elevator.

The Governor will be at Palmyra High School at 12:30 for an assembly recognizing the Palmyra district’s continued academic excellence.

Then, Nixon travels to Louisiana to present the Governor’s Award for Agricultural Achievement to Stark Brothers’ Nurseries in Louisiana at 2:30 p.m.
