A Las Vegas man charged in connection with the death of his father in Hannibal waived his right to a preliminary hearing Friday.

30 year old Carl Goldberg is charged with second degree murder and armed criminal action in the murder of Carl Maxwell.

Goldberg is alleged to have killed his father with a crossbow in Maxwell’s home. Goldberg hid the body in a freezer. Maxwell’s body was found last October.

Goldberg faces an arraignment hearing March 7th in Marion County Circuit Court. He is in the Marion County Jail on a million dollars bond.
