The Quincy man facing charges in connection with an attack on a Quincy University friar has been found unfit to stand trial.

At a hearing in Adams County Circuit Court Wednesday, a fitness report from the Illinois Department of Human Services revealed that 37 year old George Scott IV has been admitted to McFarland Mental Health Center in Springfield.

Scott is charged with aggravated battery in a public place and aggravated battery of a school employee.

He is alleged to have entered Brenner Library on the QU campus on April 5th and battered a friar with a stick.
