The first degree murder trial of a Quincy man has been postponed until February.

The trial of 55 year old Steven Gavin was to have begun in December, but a motion for a continuance was granted Monday in Adams County Circuit Court.

Gavin’s attorney is still in the process of lining up experts to review evidence and to testify.

Gavin has pleaded not guilty to four counts of first degree murder and one count of armed robbery in the shooting death of 48 year old Carlous Wires in his home November 23rd, 2015.

Gavin will be back in court for a status hearing December 20th.
