Garbage Truck Hit by Train at Hull, IL

A Pittsfield garbage truck driver escapes with moderate injuries after driving into the path of a Norfolk Southern freight train.

The crash occurred two miles west of Hull at 1:19 Monday afternoon. Illinois State Police say 43-year-old Christopher Miller is charged with disobeying a traffic control device. The crash report says the 41 car train hit the right rear of the truck and spun it around into a ditch.

Miller was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment.
