An Iowa man is in the Lewis County Jail for a series of thefts in Missouri and Iowa.

According to Lewis County Sheriff David Parrish, deputies received a report Monday of a truck stolen from the Beilstein Camper Sales parking lot. The owner of the truck tried to chase the vehicle but was unable to catch it. The stolen truck was later found at the Wilco gas station in Palmyra.

An investigation led to the arrest of 18 year old Christopher Guzman of Ft. Madison, Iowa. Along with recovering the stolen truck, authorities also found a Jeep near Beilstein’s that was stolen from Donnellson, Iowa. The Jeep also contained several items stolen from residents in Canton and Lee County, Iowa.

Guzman is being held on $15,000 cash only bond.
