Friday is the deadline for public comment on the city of Hannibal’s plans to renovate the city’s riverfront area.

Back on May 11th, two options were put forth by the city. The main difference between the two plans is that one includes a new marina for the riverfront and the other does not.

Hannibal Parks and Recreation Director Andy Dorian told the Park Board at their last meeting that there had been about 35 comments turned in favoring the plan that includes a marina, with nearly twice that many in favor of converting the marina into additional parking space.

The City Council plans to make its final decision on which option to go with in July.
