The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for northeast Missouri and western Illinois from 10 p.m. Saturday until 9 a.m. Sunday.

Forecasters predict that low temperatures tonight could drop as low as 27.

This means that sensitive vegetation will be likely be severely damaged or killed, effectively bringing the 2017 growing season to an end.

The forecast for the week ahead calls for lows to drop to freezing Monday night before settling into the mid 30s to low 40s range. Highs for the week ahead will range from low 50s to around 60.
