A Quincy man accused of stealing over a hundred-thousand dollars from his employer is sentenced to probation Thursday in Adams County Circuit Court.

50-year-old Michael Foster had pleaded guilty to a negotiated charge of theft of more than $10,000. He was sentenced to 30 months probation, along with 60 days in the Adams County Jail, paying a $10,000 fine and performing 80 hours of community service work. This is in addition to paying back more than $138,000 in restitution.

Foster was a supervisor at S.J. Smith Company in Quincy when he was alleged to have taken cash and merchandise from the business from 2012 to 2014.
