A Foristell, Missouri man suffers serious injuries in a boating mishap near the 107 boat ramp on Mark Twain Lake in Monroe County at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday.

The Highway Patrol reports that 72 year old Robert Manker was a passenger on a bass boat operated by 63 year old Barry Guiot of Fenton.

Manker was walking to the front of the boat when he tripped and fell overboard. Manker was wearing a personal flotation device, but became unresponsive when he was brought ashore.

Manker was taken by Life Flight helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
