(BOWLING GREEN)--An arrest warrant is issued after a forgery suspect who claimed he was homeless failed to show up for a court hearing. 20-year-old Trenton Flowers is accused of nine felony counts of forgery after allegedly writing bogus checks on his former girlfriend’s account in Louisiana between December 19 and December 28 of 2011. Authorities say the checks totaled almost 370 dollars.

Police said video surveillance at a Louisiana convenience store led them to the suspect. In a probable cause statement, authorities listed Flowers’ address as a Quincy homeless shelter.

The arrest warrant was issued after Flowers failed to show up for a hearing Tuesday.
