Flooding in the St. Louis Area

The Mississippi River is six feet above flood stage at Alton and more than eight feet above flood stage at Grafton. Some streets are underwater and a few homes and businesses have been evacuated. Heavy rain since last week is causing the river to rise again. It could crest at Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on Wednesday.
