On the morning of December 27, the Adams County Sheriff's Office and Quincy Police Department conducted simultaneous search warrants. As a result of the searches, five people were arrested on various drug charges.

Adams County Sheriff Brent Fischer says a two-month narcotics investigation led to the arrests.

Methamphetamine, materials used to manufacture methamphetamine, and packaged heroin were among items recovered during the searches on North 4th Street.

Joseph Abbey (age 34) of 726 ½ North 4th Quincy, arrested for aggravated participation in meth production, delivery of cocaine, delivery of heroin, possession of methamphetamine, Illinois Dept of Corrections parole violation warrant. Lodged in the Adams County Jail without Bond.

David Hedrick (age 48) of 726 North 4th Quincy, arrested for possession of controlled substance (Heroin). Lodged in the Adams County Jail without bond.

Valerie Williams (age 53) of 726 North 4th Quincy, arrested for possession of controlled substance (Heroin). Lodged in the Adams County Jail without bond.

John Kelly (age 26) of Chicago, located at 726 North 4th Quincy and arrested on a warrant for failure to appear theft of motor vehicle parts. Lodged in the Adams County Jail with $5000 bond.

Lamishaya Kelly of Chicago, located at 726 North 4th Quincy and arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Lodged in the Adams County Jail without bond.
