Five Businesses Fail Tobacco Sale Compliance Check in Quincy

Quincy Police report five arrests following a tobacco compliance check Tuesday at 16 businesses.

An underage agent assisted in the check. Businesses that failed the check were Chestnut Market at 1001 North Fifth, County Market Express on South 36th, County Market Liquor at 4830 Broadway,  Ayerco at 4727 State and Cenex at 923 North 12th. The five store employees were ticketed for sale of tobacco to a minor and released on notices to appear.
