(JEFFERSON CITY)--Legislation signed by Missouri Governor Jay Nixons clarifies parts of Missouris laws concerning fireworks. Officials say the measure makes any fireworks allowed by federal law legal in Missouri, too.It eliminates a discrepancy between state and federal laws about labeling commercial fireworks. The fireworks legislation includes an emergency clause, allowing it to take effect as soon as its signed by the governor. New laws in Missouri usually go into effect in late August.
