Hannibal firefighters are still on the scene of a house fire.Firefighters were first called to 212 Beech at 6:45 Sunday evening. Fire crews knocked the flames down in about five minutes. Hannibal firefighters were called back to that address around 3:30 this morning where they found the house engulfed in flames.

The hundred year old frame house was completely destroyed when the fire apparently re-ignited. Four residents of the house were out of town at the time of the first fire and had been housed in an area hotel when the early morning alarm came in.

The property was insured. Investigators are on the scene this morning.
