Fire Destroys Barn Near Palmyra

Fire Sunday destroyed a barn near Palmyra.

Fire crews from the Palmyra, Hannibal and Hannibal Rural Fire Departments were called to 3844 County Road 401 at Palmyra around 3 p-m Sunday. The barn held pheasants and rabbits. 68 animals were reported killed by the fire. One firefighter was treated for exhaustion.
