Fire Crews Battle Ruby Street House Blaze

(Hannibal)—Hannibal fire crews from three stations respond to a structure fire shortly before 6 a.m. this morning in the 1800 Block of Ruby Street in the Oakwood area.

The first truck on the scene found fire coming out the front window of the residence.  Firefighters were able to knock the main body of the fire down within a few minutes, but the home suffered heavy fire and water damage in three rooms and smoke and heat damage throughout.  No one was home at the time of the fire and there are no injuries reported.  Crews remained on the scene for about 3 hours.  The cause is undetermined.
